I am one of the organisers of the Talent and People Alliance, which is a HR networking group, which can trace its origins back to 1978. Yesterday we held our meeting at Wright Hassall in Leamington and the speaker John Wilson, CEO of Expolink, spoke about Whistleblowing. It was a thought provoking talk which highlights the benefits to organisations of having a Whistleblowing Policy and how money can be saved by identifying issues such as fraud and money laundering. Also work places can be made safer by breaches in Health and Safety being pointed out by employees. The most commonly reported areas are grievances with manager and malpractice in the workplace followed by breach of company policy and working conditions.
