Are you looking for a challenging, varied and hands on role as a Practice Manager in the legal sector? This pivotal role in an established regional law firm offers just that!

As the Practice Manager, you'll report directly to the Board of Directors & CEO, taking on a diverse and challenging workload to ensure the smooth delivery of legal services. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of practice management, including financial oversight, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and more.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Practice Manager are:

·         Manage the finance department and back-office operations.

·         Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including SRA and SAR's.

·         Organise insurance, accreditation, and practicing certificate renewals.

·         Attend and contribute to Board meetings.

·         Negotiate with third-party suppliers and develop performance systems.

·         Oversee Lexcel applications and internal training for compliance.

·         Maintain the firm's website and update office policies and procedures.

·         Prepare financial information for SAR’s audits, tax returns, and HMRC payments 

Ideal candidate specification for Practice Manager in this law firm:

·         Previous experience in a legal environment is essential.

·         Comprehensive understanding of Solicitor Accounts Rules and SRA Handbook.

·         Ideally COFA or experience working with COLP and or COFA

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Ability to manage deadlines with minimal supervision.

·         Strong IT skills and proficiency in relevant software.
